1. Introduction to the course
Electrical engineering is one of the pioneer branches of engineering, and dates back to the late 19th century. It is the branch of engineering that deals with the technology of electricity, without which we cannot think a single day in our global world and the progress of world civilisation will come to a dead stop without electricity. Electrical engineers work on a wide range of components, devices and systems, from tiny microcontrollers to huge motors and generators. In fact, almost all the motions in industries are created by electrical motors.

• M. Tech. in Power Systems
Duration: 2 years; Eligibility Criteria: 60% in B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering or in relevant branch of Electrical Engineering / GATE qualified
• Ph. D.(Tech.) in Electrical Engineering
Duration: minimum 3 years; Eligibility Criteria: ME / M. Tech. in Electrical Engineering or in relevant branch of Electrical Engineering.
