The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), School of Engineering & Technology (SOET) organized a one-day industry visit program to Bengal Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Dankuni, West Bengal (authorized bottler of ‘The Coca-Cola Company’, one of the leading beverage companies in the world) on 18th May, 2019.
The visit was arranged for the 2nd year and 3rd year undergraduate students of ECE department under the supervision of Dr. Dipak Kumar Ghosh, Associate Professor and HOD; Mr. Nisarga Chand, Assistant Professor; and Mrs. Rupanwita Das Mahapatra, Assistant Professor in official collaboration with Mr. Diptarup Choudhury (Manager-HR, Bengal Bevarages).
The visit commenced with an introductory session by Mr. Bibek Patra (Executive, Bengal Bevarages) followed by a guided visit to different divisions of the production and manufacturing units. This programme inculcated a value-added learning to the students by expanding their views beyond the classroom with exposure to various state-of-the-art industrial automation technologies including modern microcontroller circuits and Management Information System (MIS) for quick resolution of issues and formulation of strategies.
