On 1st November, 2019, the Department of Electrical Engineering of the School of Engineering and Technology organised a Workshop, entitled Smart Adaptive Security Surveillance Robot for the Electrical Engineering students, in collaboration with the Students’ Chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India).

The workshop was conducted by Rahul Sarker, a student of 3rd year EE. He delivered a technical lecture supported by interesting hardware demonstration. Incidentally, Rahul Sarker is the winner of many awards in different National level model based design competitions, including awards in National Design and Research Forum 2019, India International Science Festival 2019, both organised by the Government of India.

The event was convened by Dr. Srimanti Roychoudhury, Faculty Advisor of the Students’ Chapter of IE(I) and Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, with the guidance of Head of the Department, Professor (Dr.) Anish Deb.

The workshop ended with a lively question-answer session followed by the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Srimanti Roychoudhury. Finally, a gift was presented to the speaker as a token of appreciation as well as a certificate.
