About The Department

Electronics and Communication Engineering is a branch of studies which deals with the science of electrons that covers a wide range of applications like Television, Radio, computers, telecommunication etc. which make our life easier and enjoyable.

Present-day scenario, modern applications like Internet of things (IOT), Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, and Embedded Systems are highly dependent on the knowledge of ECE.

Our department provides continuous efforts in terms of classroom teaching with the use of different pedagogical methods and beyond the classroom experience through project in each semester and industry visit.

Students are able to acquire internship and placement from reputed industry and organization of national or international.

Multidimensional research exposure: where students get opportunities to do research in different areas and as a result, they publish their papers in national or international conferences.

Department helps in developing strong professional network where students acquire state of the art knowledge via industry-academia through the student chapter.

Overall, ECE department provides collaborative environment open to the free exchange of ideas, where research, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish, and ensured students achieve their full potential.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The syllabus is framed in manner so to encompass the entire syllabus of GATE exam.
  • Courses like Semiconductor Devices, Analog Electronic Circuits, Signals and Networks, Electromagnetic Fields, Digital Electronics, Communication system-I, DSP, Microprocessor and Microcontrollers and associated lab are taught in the second year.
  • Communication Systems-II, VLSI System Design, Embedded System Design, Control system, Microwave Engineering, and a bundle of elective courses are offered in the third and final year.
  • The program includes a wide range of laboratories like Electronics Technology Lab, Analog Electronic Circuits Lab, Signals and Networks Lab, Communication systems lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab, Digital Electronics, Signal Processing Lab, VLSI & Embedded lab, Control System Lab, Antenna and Microwave Lab.

  • Opening of IETE Student’s Forum and reception of funding from IETE New Delhi for conduction of beyond the syllabus activities.
  • Enrolment/Registration of all Non-Doctorate faculty members to PhD program for enhancing overall academic quality of Department.
  • Involvement of undergraduate students in the in-house PCB fabrication and design process and allocating them as mentors/trainers for other departments.
  • TAs’ from our department repaired faulty/malfunctioning instruments/kits worth of Rs. 3-4 Lacs.
  • Publication of final year projects of UG students in renowned international/national conferences.
  • Formation of Alumni group and Involvement of alumni in various professional/cultural activities of the departments.
  • Industrial visits at renowned R &D labs, industries etc. for both faculties and students.
  • Conduction of maximum webinars (pan University) in Covid situation by utilizing funds from IETE for developing professional attributes of students and bridge up the industry academia gap.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering

The student can choose a regular B. Tech degree (in ECE with duration of 4 years) (AICTE Approved). This includes minor and major projects (Capstone Project as well as courses on Emotional Quotient & Design). The program possesses a total credit of 165 covering all major subjects for GATE like Semiconductor Devices, Analog Electronic Circuits, Signals and Networks, Electromagnetic Fields, Digital Electronics, Communication system-I, DSP, Microprocessor and Microcontrollers and associated lab (in the second year). In the pre-final year and final year courses like Communication Systems-II, VLSI System Design, Embedded System Design, Control system, Microwave Engineering, and a bundle of elective courses are offered.

Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Eligibility:

  • 60% overall in 10+2 with PM+Chemistry/BioTech/Biology Technical Vocational (with 45%)
