This branch of Engineering is one of the oldest of the Engineering disciplines and is aimed at creating professionals who understand the design, analysis, manufacturingand maintenance of various kinds of mechanical systems.

ADAMAS University offers M. Tech in mechanical engineering to those students who have passed their undergraduate program B.Tech/B.E and they want to delve into the courses of their area of interest for the dipper knowledge and it is research oriented applications. This leads them to become the expert of their courses through advanced learning, which is application based. They perceive the transformation of theory into application and they generate the ability to solve the real time problems to a greater extent which is related to their area. They are transformed into a expert researcher and problem analyser from a raw engineer. They become here a ready made man power for the R&D based industries.

Eligibility
60% in B.Tech / GATE qualified.

Admission Procedure
GATE, AUAT

Summer School / Winter School / Projects
Post-graduate students of Mechanical Engineering in Adamas University are sent to Industry visit on regular basis. Since the Adamas University is situated in Kolkata, so there are adequate opportunities of industry visit and industrial trainingin many multinational companies and PSUs.Along with this the students are also able to do the research based projects in the research centres in Kolkata.A dedicated training and placement cell takes care of these activities and it’s team members have latent spirit to enhance the industrial training quality of the engineering students. The Adamas University has also established a good industry university collaboration platform and it has been tried to associate with the many multinational company and in turn it is helping the students to work in a multinational corporate environment during their training. The Adamas University has also collaborated with Foreign Universities and it provides the students an exposure to the first world and world class lab facilities.
