The Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology successfully organized a One Day Seminar on “Building Information Modelling” on 10, May 2019.
The seminar started with the welcome address by Dr. T. Senthil Vadivel, HOD of Civil Engineering Department, inaugurated the program, felicitated the gathering after giving an encouraging speech towards students on emphasizing the essentiality of Software and its application in Civil Engineering.
Mr. Sandip Banerjee, General Manager – Technical, ACC Cement Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata has consented to be the chief guest and addressed the students about the Project Management and Five Dimensional Analyses of Management. Mr. Amitava Haldar, Manager, CADD Corporation, Kolkata discussed the application of BIM in Civil Engineering and extended a Hands-On Training to the students.
The session was very much interactive and implanting students with the essential values of inspiration, enhancement of their technological skills, motivation and encouragement for the betterment of their respective careers.
Seminar successfully ended with vote of thanks by Dr. S. N. Roy (Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering Department).
