The Department of Mechanical Engineering, SOET, organised a one day industrial visit to Royal Enfield Workshop on 6th of April 2019, exclusively for the students of 3rd year Mechanical Engineering. To bring the immersive learning within the students of Mechanical Engineering, the Department strongly emphasises in incorporating industrial visit as part of the curriculum.
The visit to the workshop exposed the students to develop a clear concept about working of Internal Combustion engines which includes technical features of SI Engines along with every aspect of constructional details of various Enfield bikes. The visit started with a technical session which was followed by visiting the workshop where the students were exposed to practical realm of the theory taught in classes. Hands on experience was provided to the students which imparted the inquisitive budding minds a great learning experience bridging the gap of the knowledge imparted in classroom and the real application scenario.
