PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO)

PO 01: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO 02: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO 03: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO 04: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO 05: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO 06: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PO 07: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Dr. Radha Tamal Goswami

Dean, School of Engineering and Technology

He did his PhD (Technology) from BIT Mesra Ranchi and also received Doctors of Letters – D.Litt (Honoris Causa) and Post Doctoral Fellow of Universidad International de La Rioja(UNIR) Spain He is 29 years of experienced professional with sound experience in Academics, Research and Administration. Prior to Joining Adamas University, Dr Radha Tamal Goswami was associated with organizations like Techno International New Town (Techno India Group) as Director and BIT Mesra Ranchi as Professor in CSE and Director at its Kolkata Campus. His area of expertise includes Network Security, Big Data Analytics, Pattern Recognition, Cryptography and Bio Informatics . He also guided many students in UG and PG projects as well PhD students. He is the visiting faculty of 10 top Institutions and senior member of ACM, IEEE,CSI, NIPM and ISTD. He published around seventy research papers in the International Journal of repute. He chaired many National and International conferences. He is the academic and BOG member of different reputed Institutions in India and abroad. He has a special interest in Sports, Drama, Music, Networking and social help for needy people.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Project Proposal: An entrepreneurship development project proposal in the area of Automated Sanitizer Dispenser was submitted to NRDC, DSIR. From the incubation, cell of AU with Dr. Saikat Chaterjee and Mrs. Rupanwita Das Mahapatra as key resource persons.
  • Association with Professional Societies like SAEINDIA, IEI(INDIA), ISIEINDIA, IAENG, IETE etc. to conduct National & International Conference, Project exhibition, Technical Seminar etc.
  • Seed money grant of 4,7 Lakh to faculty under ARISE-2021 to pursue research projects with active involvement of students.
  • Developed online lab modules under the initiative of AU smart labs with 119 experiments.
  • Covid 19 initiative: A team of faculty members & students indigenously developed and commissioned Hands-free Sanitizer Dispenser at different functional units of the University.
  • Published 7 newsletters in 2020 on themes like “Engineering Career and Courses”, “Robotics”, “Computing Plus”, “Infrastructure Plus” etc.
  • Domain Specific Technical Training and IT Skills Training for Core Branches – started from 04, Dec 2020 and continuing on every Wednesday.
